My Review

“…as I watch the magical sight, I get the overwhelming feeling that something special is headed my way.”

A Very Faerie Christmas is book 3.5 in the Fae Guard Series by Author Elle Christensen.
Mealla and Phin have a history together.  They were once in love, until a vision of destiny changed it all. Having met again, now under different circumstances, that spark and attraction is still present and ready to come back full force.
Written in dual points of view A Very Faerie Christmas was a spicy holiday rendering of second chance love. As with the other books in this series, there continued to be some important things that I loved…humor, fabulous friends, pulsating desire, and burning love. Can’t wait for more in this series.

“It’s a brand new day, a fresh start for us, and it’s suddenly very clear to me-she is mine.”

Excerpt

I look up into the mirror and see the female bartender from last night leaning against the counter top behind me. It’s clear that she was waiting for me, so I continue on with my task, but raise an eyebrow in question.

She eyes my curves with disdain and unconsciously smoothes a hand over her slender frame, brushing away non-existent wrinkles. “Phin mentioned that you are old friends,” she snips.

“Yes,” I answer flatly, using a paper towel to dry my hands.

“I wouldn’t read too much into him taking you out,” she warns, “He isn’t the type to settle down.” She does another once over, then molds her face into what I’m assuming is supposed to be sympathetic, but instead, makes her look like Miss Piggy with overly wide eyes and her scrunched nose in the air. “If I couldn’t get him to settle down, no one can.” Now her look turns stubborn with a side of menacing, “So, don’t try to fight for him; you’ll lose.”

One mental eye roll and a satisfying vision of a bitch slap later, I quip, “Thanks for the heads up, but ‘I, moiself, have always enjoyed a good scrimmage.’” Oink, oink. I immediately turn toward the door, dismissing her and ending this high school-esque conversation. I don’t even throw out a “Boo, you whore” on my way out. Score one for being a grownup—mostly. I may have indulged in imagining the door smacking her in the face and permanently scrunching up her nose.

About Elle Christensen

I'm a lover of all things books, I've been an obsessive reader since I learned how to spell! I've been writing novels and short stories since I was twelve, but they say to write the genre you love the most, so as an adult, I fell easily into writing romance. My husband is my biggest supporter and he's a great sport when it comes to fighting the people in my imagination for my attention. I hope you enjoy reading my books as much as I enjoy writing them!
