Synopsis

One boy.
One girl.
A bond that is forged in an instant and cherished for a decade.
A bond that neither time nor distance can break.
A bond that will last forever.
Or so they believe.
When seventeen-year-old Rune Kristiansen returns from his native Norway to the sleepy town of Blossom Grove, Georgia, where he befriended Poppy Litchfield as a child, he has just one thing on his mind. Why did the girl who was one half of his soul, who promised to wait faithfully for his return, cut him off without a word of explanation?
Rune’s heart was broken three years ago when Poppy fell silent. When he discovers the truth, he finds that the greatest heartache is yet to come.

My Review

“I used to know a boy, a boy I loved with my whole heart, who lived for a single moment. Who told me that a single moment could change the world. It could change someone’s life. That one moment could make someone’s life, in that brief second, infinitely better or infinitely worse.”

A Thousand Boy Kisses is a new, standalone, YA romance by Author Tillie Cole.

“There were exactly four moments that defined my life. This was the first.”

Rune and Poppy. To talk about them they can’t be separated, and we know this from the start. They are young and full of life, with contrasting introvert and extrovert personalities. When they meet, we see that insta-connect with them, and we have it too. The tie that binds is never broken as we embark with them on their lives’ greatest adventures.

“Poppy and Rune. Best friends for infinity.”

Told in dual points of view, A Thousand Boy Kisses was one of those books that becomes a measuring rod against which all other novels will be assessed. I was instantly transported into its pages. It made me want to find the ones I love and hold them closer than ever. My soul was bursting with love for Rune and Poppy. No matter their age or stage in life, they were such tangible and vibrant characters. They both possessed dimensions in their personalities that are uncommon in books. Poppy was beyond her years, an old soul in a young woman’s body, and Rune complimented that with his own artistic interpretation of life. The story had a wide expanse of emotional progression, from tears being shed in laughter and affection to crippling moments when my body physically hurt from the emotional pain, the air being forced from my lungs, my insides strategically destroyed by the power of the pen as it was the puppeteer of the tongue. Coming to the end, I felt as though my entire being had been elevated to a different transcendental plane and “my heart almost burst.” This book rocked my soul. It rearranged my heart and made me drown in a love so pure, I didn’t want to come up for air. Big love for this book and Author Tillie Cole. This is why I read. ❤️

“She had moonbeams in her heart and sunshine in her smile.”
