Synopsis

I've always followed my dreams with ruthless determination.
My life was going well. Success was at my fingertips.
Until it wasn't.
All it took was three seconds to send my world crashing down around me, ripping my dreams to shreds.
Then I meet her, with her large hazel eyes that slay me at first glance.
And everything starts to make sense again.
I try to keep my distance.
To remind myself I am her mentor.
That we can't be more,
but every time I push away, I'm pulled deeper into her.
The line between student and teacher is blurring.
One kiss.
One taste.
They’re all it would take to cross the line.

My Review

Breaking Gravity by Author Autumn Grey is book two in the Fall Back series.  It is a taboo, student-teacher, idol-love novel.

I grew up believing there was no such thing as happily ever after, but I met a man who blew that theory out of the water. He made me believe that anything is possible.

Elon Blake hasn’t had very positive male experiences since entering the music program at her university.  She is focused on her friends, family, and becoming a world-renown musician.  Nathaniel Rowe has been her musical idol for as long as she can remember, and his sudden presence on her campus puts a kink in her well-developed plans.

“Every time I feel like I’m tethered to this earth, I remind myself that anything is possible and that one day I’ll find my wings and fly.”

This story set my Kindle ablaze!! Student-teacher heaven, character lust, and passion-induced page-flipping.  I love student-teacher romance…no doubt!  Professor Nathaniel Rowe was surly, moody, and hot as fire!  Imagine having the opportunity to meet your dream man, in the flesh.  Now imagine him being your alluring, but irritable professor, who is sexy as sin.  Imagine this, and what do you have?  Taboo heaven! At some point in life, every girl has a dream. The man you would have if you could. The one that lights your fire just by seeing his picture on a page.  I loved that Autumn Grey allowed Elon this dream come true. It opened the door for a slow burn love story that made the characters’ pheromones jump off of the page.  Elon was a tangible character that I could easily connect to.  She was sexy but still realistic in her quirky and funny ways, and obliterated Nate’s carefully constructed and structured world. Their chemistry was like the motion that makes volcanos erupt.  It was intense, strong, and dynamic.

“What is it about you that makes me want to destroy everything in my path just to have you?”

Page after page I fell deeper and deeper in love with these characters and their story, which was an eye-opener on so many levels.  I was happily surprised to see that Author Autumn Grey made this story so much more that just the allure of taboo.  It was about life, family, reconciling the past, and fulfilling dreams.  Bringing in the musical component of the story added an opportunity for the sensual to explode, and this author took full advantage of it…playing a cello has NEVER been so hot!   I also loved being able to see some familiar characters from Fall Back Skyward, and some great new characters that I hope we will get more of.

“This is new for both of us. We’re breaking rules.  When I’m with you, nothing else matters. Nothing can touch me or pull me down. Not even gravity.”

Breaking Gravity was a hot, tempting read that fed my craving for a superb student-teacher romance.  A favorite of 2017 and in my top 10 student-teacher romance novels.  I loved it!

“You own me. You own my universe.”
