Synopsis

Remington Stringer has never been like most girls. She’s outspoken, brazen and wants nothing more than to escape the Nevadan hell hole that she calls home.

On the brink of eighteen, with a deceased mother and a well-meaning, yet absent father, she is forced to fend for herself. The only person she’s ever had to depend on is her borderline obsessive stepbrother, Ryan. But, what used to be her anchor is quickly becoming a loose cannon.

When Remi gets the opportunity to attend the best private school in the state during her senior year of high school, she jumps at the chance. Then she meets Mr. James. Ornery, aloof, and totally irresistible.

Most girls would swoon in secrecy.

Most girls would doodle his name with hearts in their notebook.

But Remi Stringer has never been like most girls.

My Review

Misbehaved by Author Charleigh Rose is a taboo, student-teacher romance.

Every girl wants to be good until a bad boy whisks her off her feet and corrupts her.

It’s Remington’s last year of school, and first year at West Point. She is well aware of the crowd that populates this school.  But, what she is unaware of is him, and how his presence will turn her world upside down.

How far can you run when the only thing that fuels you is anger, secrets, and deceit? I’m about to find that out.

Misbehaved is the first full-length novel by the author duo, Charleigh Rose.  It is also the first story I have read by this pair, but I expected great things given the subject on which they were writing.

She’s an innocent wrapped in a body made up of every sin I’ve ever wanted to commit. A good girl with bad intentions.

Remington was a complex young lady. To an outsider, she was just someone to overlook, or maybe glance at twice because she didn’t quite fit the typical mold of a West Point student.  But, to know her struggles, see her family history, and hear her inner thoughts, we learned that there was so much more to her.  I felt like this was a lot of what awakened the nurturing and affectionate side of Pierce.  He was a bit of a loose cannon in regards to Remi and would allow his inner-beast to surface in order to protect her.  These personality traits set this novel of to be one of great interest.

I’m the violence in the pouring rain. I’m a hurricane.

I am a student-teacher romance novel fanatic. I love when a different twist on this type of taboo can be accomplished and make me feel as though I’ve experienced something new.  I definitely felt like this with Misbehaved.  While the first half of the novel was well-written and interesting, the last half totally captured my full attention.  There were some great twists, jaw-dropping heat, and pins-and-needles moments.  But, there was one moment in particular that my heart completely melted and tears puddled in my eyes.  It was a perfect addition. Hope that came from the unexpected.  A future granted from someone unseen. I just loved it.

Sometimes secrets ruin lives. But sometimes they save them.

Misbehaved was a dirty-flirty taboo novel that spiced up my reading day and made my heart pitter-patter.

About Charleigh Rose

Charleigh Rose is a secret duo of romance authors who teamed up for the sake of fun, sexy smut. Our philosophy:

  1. Our heroes should always be so alpha, you won't be able to read them in public.
  2. Heroines will always be sassy, strong and take zero sh*t from their men.
  3. Taboo, dark, twisted, weird, bizarre and original. We won't give you what you've already seen a million times before.
  4. The sex will be explicit, hot, smutty, and completely insane. Make sure your door is locked and you have a toy around when you read us.

We're dedicated to fulfilling your fantasies and to having fun with each other. We created this pen name so we can play around with our readers and each other (naughty naughty). Buckle up and join the ride!
