Synopsis

Before moving to southern Alabama, and before realizing my daughter was getting older and my life, devoted solely to her and my career, was in desperate need of change...I would've said that fate was a myth. Opening up to the possibility of needing more and admitting that loving someone could be worth risking my heart for capture, the chance I was taking only became clear after one look into his eyes...

~◇~

I left that life behind and became a different man. One vigilant to keep others at arms length. One incapable of love. Letting someone in could prove dangerous, and could resurrect a past capable of killing us both. So why, after years of indifference to women or the possibility of more than a one night stand, would one look from her make me want to change it all..

I received this book for free from Author in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Guest Review by Tammy Cole

I honestly can’t believe this is a debut novel! I was hooked from the very beginning and I could not put my kindle down. I loved every single word that was written. Rose has a gift for storytelling, as I was honestly mesmerized from the first word to the last. This was written so beautifully and the emotions that she portrayed in each character was so honest and real that you feel like you are a part of this family.

We meet Erin who is a single mother raising a twelve year old daughter on her own. The relationship between Erin and her daughter Ruth is one of the sweetest and heartwarming mother/daughter relationships that I have read about. Erin is moving to relocate for her new career opportunity and both of them are excited and hopeful that this new transition will be a positive in their lives.

Patrick is a single guy who owns his own boat repair shop. Patrick hasn’t had any long term relationship as he has a secret that he isn’t willing to divulge to anyone. This kept me on the edge of my seat trying my hardest to figure out this secret.

Patrick and Erin first meet at a local karaoke bar and when they make eye contact each of them can feel a connection to the other. I honestly really loved Patrick and Erin together. Even though they were both afraid to feel vulnerable to the other, they couldn’t deny the attraction to the other. They have both been hurt in the past and trust on either side was a huge step for them.

“If there’s an answered prayer in this room, it’s you.”

I would definitely recommend for anyone that likes a beautiful romance with a touch of mystery to one click this one! I have to say that this does end in a cliffhanger and I am anxiously awaiting to read the continuation of Erin and Patrick’s story.

“He’s the savior I’ve been waiting on to pull me out of the depths of my darkness.”
