Synopsis

My War was over and I had lost. My captor reminded me I was nothing more than his pawn.
His strategy never changed…it was always me.

But what he didn’t know was that LOVE always wins.

In my War, I’d found not only peace
but LOVE as well.

I’d been through a battlefield with my War and LOVE was what brought us to the other side.
Our LOVE was beautiful and pure. Undying.

My captor thinks he has won this war. That I will LOVE him.
What he doesn’t know is this time, I’m the one with a strategy. I’m always thinking several moves ahead of him, my War taught me that.

I will outsmart him and find peace again.
This is a war I will win.
My LOVE will conquer all.

Warning:
This is Love, Baby is a dark romance. Strong sexual themes and violence which could trigger emotional distress are found in this story. Terrible, terrible things happen to our poor heroine, so you’ve been properly warned. This story is NOT for everyone.

I received this book for free from Author in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

My Review

This is Love, Baby is book two in the War & Peace Series by Author K. Webster. It is a dark romantic suspense novel, and should be read in companion with book one, This is War, Baby.

“My heart is dead. Crushed. Flat lined.”

Being at the bottom of a canyon in book one, we enter into Bailey’s world and not-so-gentle reminders of what has become of War. She is now with the crazed maniac that started her descent into the third level of hell. But Baylee has much to fight for and a reason to live that causes her mind to remain fixed on escaping once and for all.

“When we make love, I forget to count your breaths.”

I was, once again, totally sucked into this crazy and convoluted world created by Author K. Webster. The characters ranged in personality traits from fierce strength to complete insanity. Some were written with such deep scars and surrounded in darkness, but found light, fueled by love. Others were swallowed by the darkness and brought out my devious smile and ill intentions toward them. The tension between my eyes and Kindle was unmistakable. However, nothing could have prepared me for the unexpected twists that bent the pages. Author K. Webster wrote a novel that culminated in the “Big Bang” of the dark world, throwing fragments and matter into the universe, with some conclusions yet to be seen. A dark and titillating escape that is not to be missed.

“War is worth the peace.”
