Callum Welsh perfected the art of hating me when we were two kids who believed we’d be forced into marriage.
He thought I wanted it, but my only wish had been for him to leave me alone.
Then one afternoon, he stole my first kiss.
Despite all he’d done, everything changed after that.

As the years passed, our hearts thawed, and he no longer hated me.
In fact, he loved me enough to make me his wife.
Until I ruined everything with one stupid mistake.

That hatred returned in the form of cruel words and even crueler deeds.
But we weren’t kids anymore.
I could handle his brand of venom.
He would be mine again, even if it cost me the remains of my heart.

Warning: contains cheating and an anti-hero who might make you throw your kindle.

My Review

Pretty Venom by Author Ella Fields is book three in the Gray Springs University series. It can be read as a standalone. It is a YA to NA second chance romance with some hard core emotional baggage and cheating.

“Renee wasn’t all sweet; she was pretty venom wrapped in a sugary bow. Deceptive yet honest at the same time.”

Renee and Callum were always meant to be. Even when they loved to hate one another, their chemistry was unmistakable. Hate became a fine line to adoration and that was the youthful beginnings of their love story.

“Lust, lies, secrets, deceit. Our world was full of it all. All except for those elusive things that couldn’t be bought. Trust.”

Oh my eyes!! Pretty Venom was a gut-wrenching, heartbreaker. Renee and Callum had sparked my interest from afar. But getting an up close of every intimate and tragic detail was nothing short of sliding down a razor blade and landing in a tub of alcohol. The burn. The ache. The pain. The sheer terror at watching this beautiful couple unravel was only rivaled by the exquisite vision of watching them be put back together.

“You’re allowed to make yourself vulnerable again. Especially for the right people.”

Pretty Venom was a moving novel that delivered the warm fuzzies, cold sweats, and hot burn I crave from Author Ella Fields’ novels.
