It started out like any other morning on the train.

Until I became mesmerized by the guy sitting across the aisle.

He was barking at someone on his phone like he ruled the world.

Who did the stuck-up suit think he was…God?

Actually, he looked like a God. That was about it.

When his stop came, he got up suddenly and left. So suddenly, he dropped his phone on the way out.

I might have picked it up.

I might have gone through all of his photos and called some of the numbers.

I might have held onto the mystery man’s phone for days—until I finally conjured up the courage to return it.

When I traipsed my ass across town to his fancy company, he refused to see me.

So, I left the phone on the empty desk outside the arrogant jerk’s office.

I might have also left behind a dirty picture on it first though.

I didn’t expect him to text back.

I didn’t expect our exchanges to be hot as hell.

I didn’t expect to fall for him—all before we even met.

The two of us couldn’t have been any more different.

Yet, you know what they say about opposites.

When we finally came face to face, we found out opposites sometimes do more than attract—we consumed each other.

Nothing could have prepared me for the ride he took me on. And I certainly wasn’t prepared for where I’d wind up when the ride was over.

All good things must come to an end, right?

Except our ending was one I didn't see coming.

My Review

Stuck-Up Suit by Authors Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward is second book that this duo has written together. It is a friends to lovers romance that made my reader’s heart soar.

“Sometimes life throws you a curveball, something you never saw coming. We have to make decisions about whether we want to be true to ourselves…”

Soraya is a woman with passion unfulfilled. Even in the opening chapters, we can feel her desire to do more. But, she seems stuck, unable to move forward in her life. She is assistant to advice columnist, Ask Ida, and is tiring of the routine that she finds day after day. Graham Morgan is successful, focused, intent on his business, only allowing for a few extra strings of attachment in his life. A chance encounter gives an initial impression of disdain, and leaves Soraya with a lasting gift that she wished would have fallen to anyone but her.

“Your name may not be tattooed over my heart, but it will always be etched into my soul…you’ve changed my life.”

What makes a Suit? I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this smoldering hot, man-covered book to find out, and when I did, I was amazed at what Graham, The Suit, was made of. Told in dual points of view, Stuck-Up Suit was riotous and infectious, seeping into every pore of my body, giving a story that could not be put down. Graham and Soraya played a mean game of tug-of-war with each other. But it was one of the most eye-catching matches and I simply couldn’t look away. They had a cosmic chemistry that fascinated me as it brought common ground and understanding from two people who appeared to be vastly different. Every sweet gesture made by Graham caused my heart to flip and jump and then twist repeatedly like a top. I think it pretty much goes without saying that this this hero and heroine had a sultry heat that burned with the intensity and passion of a volcano that has been simmering under the surface for hundreds of years, just waiting to explode. Halfway through, as many books do, Stuck-Up Suit took an unexpected twist that was initially alarming, but proved to bring more love and innocence into the picture. The fast pace, good feels, and extra-special kind of love make this book a must-have escape.

“I think I fell in love with you before I even met you.”

5 Stars

Graham: What are you wearing, Soraya?

Soraya: Are you serious right now?

Graham: You ruined my day. You owe me.

Soraya: I don’t owe you anything, you fucking perv.

Graham: This from the woman who sent me a shot of her cleavage. Nice tits, by the way. They’re so big, at first, I thought it was a picture of an ass.

Soraya: You’re the ass.

Graham: Show me your face.

Soraya: Why?

Graham: Because I want to see if it matches your personality.

Soraya: Which would mean what?

Graham: Well, that wouldn’t bode well for you.

Soraya: You won’t ever see my face.

Graham: Probably better off.  So, give me a hint about what you’re wearing.

Soraya: It’s red.

Graham: So you haven’t changed out of that dress?

Soraya: No, I’m naked with dye dripping down my body and my tongue is throbbing thanks to you.

That was an odd thing to say.

Graham: That’s an interesting visual.

Soraya: You are seriously crazy, dude.

Graham: I AM a little crazy, actually. I probably need my head checked because I’ve been fantasizing about a headless person all day.

Soraya: Well, the naked pic ain’t gonna happen.

Graham: How about I go first?
