“Looks like you dressed for the occasion."

“You said I should come prepared, professor." She wriggles beneath me.

I bring my hand down on her bare ass, just sharp enough to make her feel it, not enough to leave a mark. She inhales sharply, her hips bucking.

“And have you, Ms. Reed? Or will I need to reprimand you more thoroughly?”

When Harper Reed came to Oxford, her dream was to study modern poetry with the infamous Professor Jack Kingston, NOT to sleep with him. But his lectures are intoxicating, his knowledge captivating, and his accent drops panties faster than Charlie Hunnam on a Saturday night.

Harper has never made good decisions when it comes to sex and Jack has never been able to commit, yet there’s something between them that neither of them has felt before. But students and teachers are not supposed to fraternize, even as this out of control connection puts both of their futures on the line.

When their forbidden love is tested, can they make the grade?

My Review

Teach Me is a new standalone, taboo, student-teacher romance by Author Lola Darling.

“Be careful what you ask for, Harper.”

It would seem that Harper has a way of finding trouble.  It beckons to her like a siren, and she responds to its call. Jack Kingston is now in control of the sexy British voice that will appeal to her, leaving her helpless to its pull. Along the way, they will both be tutored in things that could never be taught in the classroom, at least not permissibly.

“He wanted me. He took me. He liked it as much as I did.”

The opening act of Teach Me was contagious; it was taboo times two, and of course, made me salivate at the forbidden nature of it all. But, the sophisticated and scholarly turn it took boasted of a story rich in academia and brilliance, as well as seduction and intrigue. The swelling tide between Harper and Jack became an avalanche of fierce waves as they explored their draw to each other. The moment that Jack gave into his “other side”, I was engulfed in him and the story. He became The Professor that was intelligent but naive to this new feeling of protection. He was inspired and had experienced a revelation that was a strong seducer to me as a reader. Harper exposed her vulnerability and desires, making the reality of her situation and person tangible to me as a reader. The story had many nail-biting ups and downs, but ended in the perfect way. Told in dual points of view Teach Me was a fresh and sexy take on student-teacher romance, with an impeccable mix of academia and heat. I highly recommend this spicy, taboo read.
