This is a spinoff of the bestselling Forever Family series. These will all be STANDALONE novels focusing on the various characters from the band Epic Fail that were introduced in Dear Emily.

Garrett Armstrong, the lead guitarist of Epic Fail, womanizer and not so nice guy, leaves a trail of women in his wake. A recent one-night stand wreaks havoc, and turns his present completely upside down. He’s faced with a reality that he never expected. Never wanted.

Samantha Weston can’t escape the black cloud that follows her. She suffered an unspeakable loss as a teenager and has been climbing uphill ever since. As soon as her life starts to become manageable she’s slammed with another tragic event, forcing her to abandon the only thing in life that she cherishes.

A heartbreaking situation throws this unlikely pair together. They’re forced to face things that seem impossible. Can Sam get past the demons that haunt her? Can Garrett accept a fate he swore to avoid at all costs?

Can they conquer the sins that are poised to destroy them or will they become an Epic Fail?

My Review

“You give me breath. You give me life. I’m consumed by you.”

Epic Sins is the first book in the Epic Fail series, a spin-off from the Forever Family series, but can be read as a stand-alone. It is the first novel I have read by Author Trudy Stiles, and I was left wondering how I had not found her books sooner.

“I don’t want to know. I didn’t want to know. Please let this be a dream. It has to be a dream.”

Chapter one is an outrageous hook filled with loss and tragedy. It sets the stage for a book that will give us emotional feels that splinter and break us apart, while giving us drive to know more as quickly as we can.

“I sometimes feel like I’m drowning without them, but then I remember they taught me how to swim.”

Told in dual points of view over a period of time, Epic Sins was a fast-paced, emotional, and beautiful love story. It was a story of taking damaged hearts, minds, and bodies and watching them be made whole, as they emerge from their dark places. Each time I thought the story had run out of surprises, one more would surface unexpectedly; but they were all believable, and real-life situations. There was such a magical putting together in this story. Kai had me wrapped around his finger. That a young life could cause the world to crash together and create a thing of beauty was amazing. It made my heart soar.

If you love rocker romance, this is so much more. If you pant after enduring love, this is so much more. If you search for happy endings, this is so much more. Don’t miss out on this epic read.

“I predict love will find you at a time and place when you least expect it.”
