My Review

Epic Lies by Author Trudy Stiles is book two in the Epic Fail Series. It can be read as a standalone.

“No one deserves to own my tears anymore.”

Dax Anderson and Giselle Andrews are on a course for greatness.  Both in profitable careers and content with their lives.  But, after meeting each other in a most unexpected way, they can’t stop thinking of each other and dreaming of finding each other again.

“…I promise to live every single day with you as a gift, always to be cherished.”

I have loved this series by Trudy Stiles.  With each book I’ve read, I have had an immediate emotional connection with the characters and storyline.  The ties forged and carried through with each book have been endearing.  Epic Lies was a very different style of story from the first book in this series, Epic Sins, but it was this unique quality that made it a read I could not put down.  The hero and heroine were two individuals that I cheered for throughout the entire story. Dax and Giselle loved hard, suffered hard, and were blessed to find each other in spite of their pasts.  Outside of the relationship between the hero and heroine, Giselle’s sisterhood with Mia was most invigorating. They always had each other’s back, always supported one another and cheered each other on.   They were real to each other and were what one would assume a true friend to be. And, of course, this made me want a book for Mia.

“We were supposed to meet. We’re supposed to be together.”

Throughout this entire book I was on edge with anticipation, the discovery of unknown secrets making my mouth water and my pulse pick up.  Layer upon layer the story was built, one clue here another one there. It was the culmination of a love story that was serendipitous.  Literally!  Another great addition to the Epic Fail series.

“All truths. No lies.”
