When Ethan Parker’s investigation leads him to Delilah Brooks, he hopes he’s finally found his best friend’s long-lost daughter. What he wasn’t expecting was to want her for himself—with an intensity that drives him to get her pregnant before her father finds out about the two of them.

Delilah falls hard and fast for Ethan. But she isn’t sure what to think when he confesses his connection to the father she’s never met. Or how her father is going to react when he learns she’s having his best friend’s baby.

My Review

My Father’s Best Friend is a new, taboo story by Fiona Davenport. It is definitely a story of escape. There’s an age difference, some secrets, and a baby. You can’t question the logistic of it. Just open the pages and allow yourself to get lost in it.

Lilah is an 18-year-old young woman who has just lost her mother. In the midst of her grief, she meets Ethan, and her world is turned upside down.

My Father’s Best Friend was such a great hit-it-and-get-it story. What made my heart turn cartwheels when reading? Ethan was older, brooding, and protective, but so darn sweet and caring. Heart melting. The underlying taboo component of the story gave it that forbidden edge that always ramps up tension. Heart racing. Of course there was an unending amount of hot and sexy between Lilah and Ethan, which was fueled by their chemistry. Heart exploding. And last was all the sappy and cherished surprises that popped up along the way. Heart full.

My Father’s Best Friend was a great in-between-novels read that gave me a quick HEA and made my Kindle ignite with desire.
